WINDOW TUNEUP AND SASH DRAFT SEAL

• Remove two casings, one inside stop and one parting stop.
• Unstick, if necessary, both upper and lower sashes and remove.
• Resize sashes, if necessary, for installation of bronze insulating strips.
• Install 1 1/8" wide, .009 gauge V shaped bronze insulating strips on vertical jambs for upper and lower sashes.
• Install new sash cords, and balance the window with the weight system.
• Reinstall sashes, parting stop, inside stop and casings.
• Adjust window lock, or replace if necessary.

Expect to pay ----$300 and up per each two sash window depending upon window size and condition.

Please note our window tune up does not include painting. The window paint may be knicked or chipped by the work. We work as carefully as possible, but we may not be able to reinstall some of your parting stop. This would be replaced by readily available parting stop that is primed but not painted. Your casings after being reinstalled will have visiable nail holes. You should alert your painter to these possibilties. (If repainting is desired, consider our complete window restoration.)

WINDOW TUNE UP SASH DRAFT SEAL AND EXTERIOR WEATHERIZATION

• Remove three exterior casings, one outside stop and one parting stop.
• Remove both sashes from window and resize if necessary to facilitate installation of bronze weather strips.
• Install 1 1/8" wide, .009 gauge V shaped bronze insulating strips on verticle window jambs for upper and lower sashes.
• Install new sash cords, and balance the window with the weight system.
• Reinstall sashes, parting stop and outside stop.
• Adjust window lock, or replace if necessary.
• Install three new pine casings painted a color of your choice.
• Seal casings with exterior grade caulk to house exterior and window jambs.

Expect to Pay----$450 and up per each two sash window depending upon window size and condition

Please note our window tune up and exterior weatherization does include three new freshly painted exterior casings. Paint on the sashes, jambs and stops may be knicked or chipped by the work. We try to work as carefully as possible, but we may not be able to reinstall some of the parting stop. This would be replaced by readily available parting stop that is primed but not be painted. Your new exterior casings after being installed will have the nail holes filled and the new paint touched up.

• Remove your windows from casing to casing. Secure your home.
• Disassemble windows into their 22 separate pieces.
• Remove glass from both sashes, and clean the glass. Square the sashes and re-glue if necessary.
• Remove most of the paint from the reusable window parts.
• Apply your choice of colors or stain using our three coat sand and paint system.
• Groove sashes on all four sides to accept our best T style draft seals. This intregal insulating system uses bronze jamb and sill sets .018" thick while the meeting rail strips are .020" thick.
• Install glass into sashes with fresh glazing.
• Clean window hardware.
• Reassemble your windows in our shop.
• Install your "new" windows in your home.
• Install freshly painted casings on both interior and exterior walls.
• Seal exterior casings using a siliconized latex caulk.

Expect to Pay---$900 and up per each two sash window depending upon window size and condition.

This is a completly restored window that is freshly painted from interior casing to exterior casing with your choice of colors interior and exterior. Our three coat sand and paint system leaves a smooth durable finish.

STORM WINDOWS

When we replace your screens with our glass storm windows you can achieve the thermal efficiency of double pane windows without buying into window replacement every twenty years. Our storm windows are made of poplar with mortise and tenion joints. We apply our three coat sand and paint system using the color of your choice. We then glaze the new storm windows with the glass of your choice. Your new double pane windows are guaranteed to never permanently fog up.

Expect to pay $250 and up per each two sash window depending on glass choice and size of window.
